Delivered exclusively in Ireland, our Study & Work programme allows non-EEA students to work while they study English.

Why Study & Work?

Learn how to use English in different contexts and improve your confidence when communicating with people from around the world with the Study & Work programme. This programme allows you to work part-time in a professional environment while undertaking your English studies, up to 20 hours per week.

Key facts

  • Start date: Any Monday (subject to availability)
  • Level: Elementary (A1) to Advanced (C1)
  • Lessons: 15/20 hours per week
  • Minimum age: 18 years

Duration

This programme is 25 weeks in duration, plus an additional 10 weeks of holidays. You may wish to extend your stay in Ireland up to two times during your studies, with the total duration allowed being 2 years.

Requirements

All non-EEA students applying for the academic year programme are required to:

  • Have a private medical insurance to cover their entire stay in Ireland.
  • Make arrangements for accommodation ahead of their arrival in Ireland.
  • Have sufficient funds available to stay in Ireland.
  • Register through the school for an end-of-course exam.
  • Register with GNIB shortly after arriving in Ireland.

In addition, the minimum level of attendance on the course is 85%, as per the Department of Justice regulations.

Depending on your country of origin, you may require a visa for studying and working in Ireland. If this is true for you, please allow ample time for your application to be considered before your confirmed arrival date.
