Where are you from?

I come from London but I have lived in Manchester for 26 years.

Which school do you work in ?

NCG Manchester

What is your role?

I’m the Principal of our Manchester School – responsible for the daily management of the school.

How long have you worked here?

I started last year, in August. I started in Liverpool, before moving to Manchester.

What do you like the most about your work?

Without hesitation: the people – staff and students. We have excellent staff and I’m really enjoying getting to know our students.

On a typical day, what is the first thing that you do in the morning?

I walk around the school to ensure that everything is as it should be.

What is your ambition? 

My ambition at NCG is to improve the school. I really want NCG to become the best English school in the UK.

Can you describe the atmosphere of NCG in one word?

No, it’s too difficult.

In a word? DYNAMIC.

What has been your best experience since working at NCG?

We had an academic inspection at NCG. The report shows that we achieved an excellent grade in every area. I’m very proud of this. You can see the report here.

Why is NCG the best place to study in the whole wide world? 

As a group, we have two locations (Manchester and Liverpool) but staff in both locations are very, very good. They really care about the students. You know, most schools are friendly. NCG is a friendly school but we also provide an excellent service.

Something that we didn’t know?

I don’t think I have any secrets. I recently became a proud grandfather and tell everyone about it. Also, I love all kinds of music.
