PRESS RELEASE: NCG announce new course with Tranmere Rovers

NCG are excited to announce the launch of a new English & Professional Football programme in partnership with Tranmere Rovers.

NCG today announce a brand new study programme in association with Tranmere Rovers. The two education facilities will join forces to provide high-quality teaching to international students through the new English & Professional Football course.

The two-week programme will consist of general English studies and professional football coaching, providing a rounded understanding of the principles of play and coaching methods, while simultaneously helping students to understand the specific terminology used within the setting to further support the development of their language skills.

Commenting on the new opportunity, Kerill Kennedy, Principal at NCG Liverpool, said: “We are more than delighted with the opportunity to work in partnership with a football institution with a history of over 130 years. Trainees flocking to learn at Tranmere often need English to further their dreams, and passion for football brings many of our English learners to Merseyside.”

Carl Giles, Head of Education at Tranmere Rovers, added: “Tranmere Rovers Academy is very much looking forward to introducing and developing this unique and exciting programme in partnership with NCG. The opportunities created will undoubtedly benefit all the international students who enrol.”

The English & Professional Football course will be based in Liverpool city centre, and is suitable for beginner to advanced English learners aged 18 years and over. Lessons will be held Monday to Friday and will incorporate a daily English class followed by a football training session led by UEFA B+ License qualified staff.
