    Student Visa Information

You may need a visa to legally study English in the UK or Ireland. Different visas may be required depending on your nationality, the length of your course and what you will be studying.

The type of visa you will need for your studies in the UK or Ireland will depend on how long you wish to study. If you live in an EU country and plan to study for up to 6 months, you may not require a visa at all. If you are from a country outside of the EU and wish to study for less than 6 months, you may be able to study on a visitor visa. Students planning to study for more than 6 months will likely need either a short-term study visa or a student visa. Please read all of the below information and check the UKBA website to find out what type of visa you require.
